However, this is beginning to change as the Chinese company has launched the ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5G as a part of the ZTE Axon 30 series.
The ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5G is part of ZTE’s flagship series and its siblings are the ZTE Axon 30 5G and the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G. Design and Body
Looking at the ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5G, you can’t help but notice how well designed the phone is, it looks beautiful and very attractive. It is undoubtedly one of the best-looking phones the Chinese company has launched in a very long time.
The body is made of plastic which is not a really premium material but is very durable, immune to fingerprints, and a cheaper alternative to glass or aluminum. When in the hands, the phone has a sleek feel as it is quite slim and light-weighted. It comes in at 186 grams of weight and has a thickness of 7.9mm.
Looking at the rear panel, you’d notice ZTE’s branding at the bottom right with a large “AXON” inscription beneath the rear camera system on the left side of the panel. The right and left sides help to house the power button, volume rockers, and the dual SIM card slot. The top and bottom sides house the charging port, speakers, and microphones.
Display
Coming to the display which is the part of the phone that we utilize the most, ZTE makes sure you’re not missing any premium feature.
Thankfully, the under-display selfie camera seen on the Axon 20 and Axon 30 is not here as the company opted for the more proven and better punch-hole cutout.
The ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5G sports a 6.67 inches AMOLED display that has an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and 395 PPI density. The display panel has a 120 Hz refresh rate which makes scrolling and gaming more smoother and fluid. The screen has support for HDR10+ which makes you able to watch high dynamic range content on streaming platforms. It also has support for 10-bit colors so the screen can show up to 1 billion different colors.
As for protection, the display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Beneath the display is an optical fingerprint sensor for biometric screening.

The octa-core processor features 1 Cortex-X1 core clocked at 2.84 GHz, 3 Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.42 GHz, and 4 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz. The chipset is built on a 5nm fabrication process which makes it highly efficient. It is paired with the Adreno 660 GPU which will easily play any game and blitz through graphics-intensive tasks with ease.
The processor is coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage. The configurations are 6GB RAM 128GB storage, 8GB RAM 128GB storage, and 8GB 256GB storage. There’s no SD card slot so make sure to pick a model with enough storage space.
Software
On the software side, the ZTE Axon 30 Pro runs on Android 11 with MyOS 11 skin on top straight out of the box.
Camera
Coming to the cameras, the Axon 30 Pro has a quad rear camera setup and a single front-facing camera.
