A few days back, ZTE held a space-themed event in China to celebrate China’s spacecraft landing on Mars. In this event, ZTE launched the ZTE Voyage 20 Pro 5G alongside a limited Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition. The Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition is an upgraded version of the Axon 30 Ultra with space-themed features in both the hardware and software. The ZTE Voyage 20 Pro 5G is a mid-range smartphone that is relatively affordable. ZTE Voyage 20 Pro 5G
First, let’s talk about the price, the Voyage 20 Pro 5G is priced at CNY 2,199 (≈$345 or €305) and it is available in two colors: Cyan Ink and Dawn. It will go on sale in China from December 4.
Upfront, the ZTE Voyage 20 Pro sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that has a FHD+ resolution with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The display has a tiny punch-hole cutout at the top center which helps to house the 16MP selfie camera.
On the rear, there is a triple camera setup that features a 64MP main camera alongside an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro camera.
The ZTE Voyage 20 Pro 5G comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G (7nm) SoC coupled with the Mali G57 MC3 GPU. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage with no micro SD card support. As for software, the phone comes running on Android 11 with ZTE’s MyOS 11 skin on top.
Backing the ZTE Voyage 20 Pro is a 5,100 mAh non-removable battery that has support for 66W fast charging via its USB-C port. ZTE says this will take the phone from 0% to 50% in just 15 minutes.
As for connectivity, it comes with support for 5G networks, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, and Bluetooth 5.1.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor Unfortunately, there’s no 3.5 mm headphone jack on here so you’ll need a dongle.
ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition
The new Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition is a limited edition version of the Axon 30 Ultra 5G and it comes with almost the same hardware with little upgrades.
This new Aerospace Edition comes with a whopping 18GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage which is a good upgrade over the 16GB RAM on the normal version. Apart from this, all other specifications remain the same. It now comes in a stealthy black color with a gold accent on the camera bump.
Just like every other limited edition smartphone, you get a limited edition packaging as well. The box now contains a carbon-fiber case, a ZTE TWS earphone, a 65W fast charger with a USB-C cable.
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition is priced at CNY 6,998 (≈$1,095 or €968). It is already available for sales in China as of today.
