Xiaomi is a Chinese technology giant known for making great budget-friendly smartphones with its Redmi lineup being the most popular. The Redmi lineup is known for offering the best specs to price you can get at its price when compared to other smartphone brands. We have gotten a new leak about the Redmi Note 11 Pro which we’ll be discussing in this post.
The Redmi Note 10 series which includes the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10S, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max was launched a couple of months back.
According to the info coming from noted tipster Digital Chat Station, the top-end Redmi Note 11 Pro or Redmi Note 11 Pro Max could come with support for 120W fast charging. 120W fast charging was first featured in a Xiaomi phone on the Mi 10 Ultra which was launched in August last year.
This is going to be a major upgrade as the present Redmi Note 10 Pro only supports 33W fast charging and 67W fast charging on the China-exclusive model.
This is one of the few leaks we have for any of the Redmi Note 11 series so far. The Redmi Note 11 series is likely to be introduced sometime in the first quarter of 2022.
However, this may be something that may be present on the China-exclusive model of the Redmi Note 11 Pro if there’s going to be any and the global version may come with a lower charging speed.
Presently, the only Xiaomi phones on the market that support 120W charging are the Xiaomi 11T Pro and Xiaomi Mix 4 which are both flagships. So the chances of a budget smartphone supporting 120W fast charging are very low. However, Xiaomi may be able to pull this off considering the fact that they are known for introducing high-end specs to budget smartphones.
It is also likely that the Redmi Note 11 series will come with 5G support on more models and will be available globally.
We’ll continue to update you on any news on the Redmi Note 11 series and other smartphones so turn on notifications to be updated.
