Tecno Camon 18T launched with a 48MP selfie and rear camera at an affordable price tag


Tecno is a popular smartphone manufacturer well known in Asia and Africa for making fairly good budget-friendly and mid-range smartphones. Since the initial launch of the Camon 18 series, it has been expanding and the latest addition is the Tecno Camon 18T. The Camon 18T is the most affordable out of the series so it misses out on some premium specs. Without further ado, let’s get to everything you need to know about the newly launched Camon 18T.


Tecno Camon 18T Price and Availability

The Tecno Camon 18T is priced at PKR 28,999 (≈ $165 or €145) and it is available for sale across different retail partners in Pakistan. Presently, there’s no information on international availability.


Tecno Camon 18T Specs

Upfront, the Tecno Camon 18T comes with a 6.6 inches IPS LCD that has a FHD+ resolution with a maximum brightness of 500 nits.
The phone comes in a nice polycarbonate body that has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is available in three colors: Iris Purple, Dusk Gray and Ceramic White.


The screen has a punch-hole cutout at the top center which helps to house the 48MP selfie camera. The selfie camera has a dual-LED flash hidden at the top bezel so you can take good photos at night.
On the rear, there’s a triple camera setup that features a 48MP main camera alongside two 2MP macro and depth cameras. As for video recording, both the selfie and rear camera are limited to 1080p 30 fps.


Under the hood, the Tecno Camon 18T draws its power from the octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset coupled with the Mali G52 MC2 GPU. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with support for expansion. Thanks to a new software feature, the RAM can be virtually extended by up to 3GB using the free internal storage.


As for the battery, the Tecno Camon 18T comes with a beefy 5,000 mAh non-removable battery that has support for 18W fast charging via its USB-C port.
The phone comes running on Android 11 with Tecno’s HiOS skin on top straight out of the box. It still retains the 3.5 mm headphone jack so you don’t need a dongle. It has support for 4G LTE networks.
