TCL Tab Pro 5G launched with a big battery at just $400, exclusive to Verizon


The Android tablet market has been rising recently as more manufacturers are now launching more tablets than before, TCL is one of the new manufacturers. TCL has launched the Tab Pro 5G, a new entertainment tablet with a large battery. As the name implies, the TCL Tab Pro 5G comes with 5G connectivity baked in so you don’t have Wi-Fi always.

The TCL Tab Pro 5G is priced at $400. It is available from Verizon only. You can get it for $100 less if you purchase it alongside another qualifying Android device on a Verizon plan.

Tagged as a “reliable entertainment and productivity tool”, by TCL, the Tab Pro 5G comes with a 10.36-inch IPS LCD display that has a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels with a 60Hz refresh rate. It has a maximum brightness of 330 nits.
TCL says the Tab Pro has an SDR-to-HDR upscaling tech which elevates videos to HDR quality. The screen is protected by Dragontrail glass.

Under the hood, the new TCL Tab Pro 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G SoC which has a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with micro SD card support. It comes running on Android 11.
As for security, there is a fingerprint scanner on the power button and also face unlock.

There is a 13MP camera with an LED flash on the rear and there is an 8MP selfie camera. Both the rear and selfie cameras can record 1080p videos.

The battery on here is an 8,000 mAh non-removable one, which promises up to 17 hours of mixed usage. As for charging, there’s support for 18W fast charging which can charge the Tab Pro to 100% in up to 4 hours. Also, it supports wired reverse charging so you can charge other smaller devices with it.


There are dual speakers on this tablet which gives you an immersive sound experience when playing games and watching shows. One thing to note though is that there is no 3.5 mm audio jack so you have to use the USB-C port (there’s a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter in the box).


As for connectivity, there’s 5G support with mmWave & sub6. It comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and FM radio. It has a USB 3.0 Type C port with OTG support.
