Itel, a sub-company of Transsion and sister company of Tecno and Infinix. Itel released the Itel S15 Pro in October last year as a more premium variant of the non-Pro version, the Itel S15. The phone got some upgrades when comparing it to the non-Pro variant like the bigger storage, improved camera setup and 4G LTE network support. Design and Body
Itel being a manufacturer of low-cost budget smartphones looked for ways to cut costs in the production of the Itel S15 Pro which has a full plastic body. The phone is a little bit compact, it has a thickness of 8.9 mm and weighs about 153 grams. The phone features a waterdrop notch which is part of the trends right now. The rear of the phone houses the triple rear camera, LED flash and a fingerprint sensor for security. This department is pretty good for a phone at its price.

Display
The Itel S15 Pro sports a 6.1 inches IPS LCD display with a HD+ resolution of 720×1440 pixels and an amazing 282 pixels per inch density. The phone display may not be of high resolution but it is a low-cost smartphone.
Processor and Memory
This Itel low-cost smartphone comes with a very low-grade processor called the Spreadtrum Unisoc SC7731E which is a quad-core SoC that has a maximum clock speed of 1.6 GHz. The processor is expected to run the day to day activities well but don’t try heavy tasks on it because it’ll disappoint you.
The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot. There’s a more premium variant that comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage at a higher cost.
Camera
The Itel S15 Pro has a triple rear camera setup that features a 8MP main camera, a 5MP secondary camera and a VGA camera. The rear camera allows you to shoot photos in HDR, Panorama and others. As for video recording, you can only record 720p videos at 30 fps.
This phone is Itel’s selfie-centric smartphone so the selfie camera is the top-selling point. The phone has 16MP selfie camera for taking selfies and for video calls.

Network and Connectivity
I guess this is where you’d notice much difference between it and the non-Pro variant, the Pro variant has support for 4G LTE while the non-Pro variant only supports 3G. The Itel S15 Pro has support for 4G LTE network which gives you access to fast internet speeds when downloading and surfing the web.
The phone comes with Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, WiFi hotspot and GPS. It has a micro USB 2.0 port for data transfer.
Battery and Charging
Itel S15 Pro comes with a 3,000 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. The phone does not support fast charging of any kind so be prepared to charge it for long before it gets to 100%. The phone is expected to last you for a day if you’re an average user.
Software
The Item S15 Pro runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box.
Itel S15 Pro Review
After looking at the specs and features of the Itel S15 Pro, I expected something better for the price tag placed on it. The processor is very outdated and obsolete and won’t run apps fast enough. The triple rear cameras are gimmicks as only one truly works. I will definitely not get the phone as there are other better options in its price range.
