The LG Q70 is another mid-range smartphone from the South Korean technology company. The phone comes with nice specs and features that make it stand out in the market. It is also the first LG smartphone with a punch-hole selfie camera, probably inspired by the Samsung Galaxy S10 that was launched earlier in the year. Display and Design

The LG Q70 sports a 6.4 inches IPS LCD display that has a FHD resolution with 398 PPI density. The display has a tiny punch-hole cutout at the top left corner to house the selfie camera. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
As for the design and build, the LG Q70 is also not far from more expensive flagship smartphones. It comes in a body with an aluminum frame and glass on the back and front. The phone is also IP68 water and dust resistant which is something not common on mid-range smartphones. On the rear, there’s a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Processor and Memory

Under the hood, the LG Q70 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 (11nm) chipset which has a max clock speed of 2.0 GHz coupled with the Adreno 612 GPU. The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage.

Camera

Coming to the camera, you get a single selfie camera and either a triple rear camera or a dual rear camera depending on your region.
The South Korean version has a triple rear camera which features a 32MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP depth camera. The Global version has a dual rear camera which features the same 32MP main camera and 5MP depth camera.
On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera tucked in the tiny punch-hole cutout at the top left corner.
As for video recording, the rear camera can 4K and 1080p videos at 30 fps while the selfie camera can only record 1080p videos.

Battery and Charging

On the inside, the LG Q70 is backed by a 4,000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. It has support 15W fast charging and Quick Charge 3.0 via its USB Type C port.

Software

On the software front, the LG Q70 runs on Android 9 Pie straight out of the box and now, it is upgradable to Android 10 with LG UX 9.

Network and Connectivity

There’s support for 4G LTE networks on the LG Q70 and it should have some global LTE bands. As for connectivity, it comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and NFC.
