OnePlus is a Chinese technology company that manufactures smartphones, smart accessories, and other consumer electronics. The company is known for making smartphones that provide the best specs to price ratio. Today, OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 10T, it is the latest addition to the OnePlus 10 series that was unveiled earlier this year.
The OnePlus 10T comes with the most powerful processor yet for an Android phone and it also tops that off with crazy fast charging alongside other top premium features.
When compared to the OnePlus 10 Pro, the OnePlus 10T comes with a better processor and faster charging. To keep the costs a bit lower, the phone comes with watered-down specs in some aspects.
In this article, I’ll share with you everything you need to know about the newly released OnePlus 10T, its full specifications, price, and features. Without wasting much of our time, let’s get right into today’s article.
Like I said earlier, the OnePlus 10T is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which is an improved version of the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It is built on a 4nm fabrication process and has a maximum clock speed of 3.19 GHz coupled with the Adreno 730 GPU.
The phone comes with 8GB or 12GB (India only) or 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 internal storage with no support for storage expansion. To reduce thermal throttling and also sustain top performance over a longer period, OnePlus adds its next-gen 3D Cooling System which has the largest vapor chamber on any phone it has ever released.
Coming to the display, the OnePlus 10T has a 6.7 inches Fluid AMOLED display that has an FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz high refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. There is support for HDR10+ and 10-bit color depth. It also has a full coverage of the DCI P3 wide color gamut. As for protection, there is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 applied on the screen.
As I said earlier, OnePlus watered down the specs in some aspects and the camera is one of them. The OnePlus 10T now has a triple rear camera setup that features a 50MP main camera that has a Sony IMX766 sensor, OIS and f/1.8 aperture with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. Only the main camera is flagship grade while the remaining two are quite underwhelming.
As for the selfie camera, it is now a 16MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
The rear camera can record videos in up to 4K resolution at 30 or 60 fps while the selfie camera is capped at 1080p resolution at 30 fps.
On the inside, the OnePlus 10T comes with a 4,800 mAh non-removable battery. For charging, it now has support for 150W SuperVOOC charging via its USB-C 2.0 port. One thing to note is that if your country uses 110W power, it’ll only reach 125W fast charging.
I know you might be wondering about the safety of the battery and that is why OnePlus is also adding a new feature called Battery Health Engine. It will help increase the life of the battery cell in the long run as OnePlus say the battery will still have about 80% of its initial capacity after 1,600 charging cycles. This is impressive as super fast charging usually wears out battery cells faster.
As stated in the name, there is support for 5G networks on the OnePlus 10T. After that, it comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.3 (A2DP, LE, aptX HD), GPS (dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), and NFC.
The phone will be available in two colors which are Moonstone Black and Jade Green.
