Design and Body
Samsung didn’t change the design that much in comparison to the Galaxy A13 5G, the phone still has a similar rear camera arrangement. The only noticable difference is that the back panel now has flat edges.

The Galaxy A14 5G comes in a full plastic body that has a thickness of 9.1mm and weighs about 201 grams. The phone feels okay in the hands, with no premium feel as that is considered a luxury in the Galaxy A-series.
Display
The size of the display also got a bump alongside the resolution. The Galaxy A14 5G sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display that has a FHD+ resolution. It has a water drop notch with noticable bezels around the size.
The display has a 90Hz high refresh rate so scrolling and gaming feel smoother when compared to regular 60Hz panels. There is no protection so get a tempered glass screen protector.
Processor and Memory
Samsung leaves things as it was before here, the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G still comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC.
It is an octa-core chipset built on a 7nm processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz. It is also paired with the Mali G57 MC2 GPU for gaming and other graphics-intensive tasks.

The processor is coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. There are 3 configurations: 4GB 64GB, 4GB 128GB, and 6GB 128GB.
Camera
The rear camera got zero changes. There is still a triple setup featuring a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera.
Coming to the selfie camera, there is a clear improvement as there is a 13MP selfie camera compared to the poor 5MP of its predecessor.
The cameras are quite okay for a budget-friendly phone, nothing great, nothing horrendous.
Battery and Charging
Well, the battery has never been a problem in budget-friendly phones, in fact, that is where they shine.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G has a 5,000 mAh non-removable battery that should last up to a full day of usage. As for charging, there is support for 15W charging via its USB-C port.
Network and Connectivity
As the name shows, there is support for 5G networks on the Galaxy A14 5G and this is an incredible feat. 5G is now available to those that don’t want to break the bank.
The phone comes with Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, and Wi-Fi hotspot. As for navigation, there is GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO.
Software
The Galaxy A14 5G runs on Android 13 with One UI Core 5 straight out of the box. Samsung generously offers two years of major Android updates, up to Android 15. It will also receive security updates for up to four years.
