Oukitel launches its first rugged tablet, the Oukitel RT1 with a 10″ display and a 10,000 mAh battery

Oukitel is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer known for making great entry-level and rugged smartphones. Now, they have expanded their portfolio by launching their first rugged tablet, the Oukitel RT1. The RT1 is a pretty affordable tablet when compared to other Android tablets. In this article, we’ll go through the Oukitel RT1 specs and price. Without further ado, let’s get right into it.

The Oukitel RT1 is priced at €180 or $200 after discounts and coupons. It can be purchased via Oukitel’s official AliExpress store. The RT1 is available in two colors which are black and orange.

Since this is a rugged tablet, let’s talk about the build quality first. The Oukitel RT1 comes in a nice body with a hardened plastic shell that is water and dust-proof with both IP68 and IP69K certification. It is also drop-proof for up to 1.5m which is great. It comes in at 860 grams of weight which is quite bulky.

The Oukitel RT1 sports a large 10.1 inches IPS LCD display that has a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and 225 PPI density with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen has a typical brightness of 350 nits and can go up to 400 nits in certain scenarios.

The processor on the Oukitel RT1 is a pretty old MediaTek Helio P22 (12nm) SoC coupled with the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage. The tablet runs on Stock Android 11 with no modifications straight out of the box.

The cameras on here are pretty good also, the Oukitel RT1 has a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.
As for connectivity, this tablet comes with support for 4G LTE networks, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, and GPS.

The Oukitel RT1 comes with a 10,000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery that has support for 18W charging via its USB-C port. Oukitel says this battery can give the tablet up to 21 hours of talk time which is quite impressive.
