iQOO is a sub-brand of Vivo, a popular Chinese technology company. Over the years, iQOO has launched different smartphones with lots of amazing specs. Being a sub-brand, iQOO makes sure its smartphones are relatively affordable and also the best you can get at its price point. The iQOO 9T has been launched in India and it comes as the latest addition to the popular iQOO 9 series.

The iQOO 9T is going to join the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro that was released a couple of months ago earlier this year. The iQOO 9T still has some of the premium features that were on the iQOO 9 Pro. In some aspects, it even improves on them, and in others, it was a little bit downgraded.



The iQOO 9T comes with a beautiful large display, a great camera system, and support for super fast charging. It also has the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which is an upgraded version of the previous Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

In this article, I’ll share with you everything you need to know about the newly released iQOO 9T, its full specifications, price, and features. Let’s get right into it.

On the inside, the iQOO 9T draws its power from the new and improved Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 that is built on a 4nm fabrication process. It has a maximum clock speed of 3.19 GHz and is paired with the Adreno 730 GPU.

The phone comes with 8GB or 12GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 internal storage with no support for storage expansion. To enhance overall performance and heat dissipation, the phone comes with a vapor chamber liquid cooling system with a 3,930 sq. mm.² area. This will ensure the phone remains cool under prolonged heavy usage.

Upfront, the iQOO 9T sports a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display that has an FHD+ resolution with a peak brightness of 1500 nits. It has a 120Hz high refresh rate with a 360Hz touch sampling rate. Also, there is support for HDR10+ as well as 10-bit color depth. Under the display, there is a supersonic fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
The screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

On the rear, you’d find the triple camera setup in a rectangular bump and it features a main camera with a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor and OIS, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera tucked in a tiny punch-hole cutout at the top center.
As for video recording, the rear camera can record in up to 4K resolution at 30 or 60 fps while the selfie camera is capped at 1080p resolution at 30 fps.

For the first time, iQOO adds the Vivo V1+ chip that was seen on Vivo’s latest flagship. It will offer real-time extreme night vision when taking photos in Night mode as well as enhanced noise reduction and MEMC technology.

The iQOO 9T comes with a 4,700 mAh non-removable battery with support for 120W super fast charging. Vivo says this will take the phone from 0% to 50% in just 8 minutes of charging and to 100% in only 20 minutes.

The phone comes with some other nice features like dual stereo speakers and a dual X-Axis linear motor on the top and bottom side for proper haptics and gaming experience.

As for connectivity, the phone has support for 5G and 4G LTE networks. It comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port with OTG support.

The phone comes in a lovely glass sandwich build with an aluminum frame holding the front and black glass together. As for color options, it is available in Legend and Alpha with the former having a BMW M Motorsport stripe and the latter having a plain black finish.

As of its launch in India, the iQOO 9T price starts at ≈$636 (INR 49,999) and ≈$700 (INR 54,999) for the 8GB RAM 128GB storage and 12GB RAM 256GB storage models respectively.
