Yesterday, vivo decided to add a new member to its popular entry-level Y-series lineup and it is the vivo Y15s. It is an entry-level smartphone that comes with basic specs and features so it can achieve a very affordable price. As a result, it doesn’t come with any luxury specs rather focuses on the essentials for a light user.

The vivo Y15s is priced at SGD179 in Singapore which is equivalent to $133 or €120 at present rates. It is available in two colors which are Wave Green and Mystic Blue. You can buy it from vivo and other retail partners in Singapore. There’s no present info on global availability.


vivo Y15s Specs
Upfront, the vivo Y15s has a 6.51 inches IPS LCD display that has an HD+ resolution and 270 PPI density with a 20 by 9 aspect ratio. It has an out-of-trend waterdrop notch for housing the selfie camera. The phone comes in a nice plastic body with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
Under the hood, the MediaTek Helio P35 (12nm) chipset coupled the PowerVR GE8320 GPU is the system-on-chip powering the vivo Y15s. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with micro SD card support. The vivo Y15s comes running Android 11 Go edition with Funtouch 11.1 skin on top.


The vivo Y15s has a dual-camera setup on the rear that features a 13MP main camera with AF and f/2 2 aperture alongside a 2MP depth camera and a LED flash. On the front, there’s an 8MP camera in the waterdrop notch for all your selfie and video calls need. As for the video, both the selfie and rear camera can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
The battery backing the vivo Y15s is a 5,000 mAh non-removable one. For charging, it happens at 10W speeds via the dated micro-USB port. Surprisingly, it has support for 5W reverse wired charging thanks to its OTG support.


As for connectivity, it has support for 4G LTE networks, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and FM radio. For extra, it has a 3.5 mm audio jack.
