Poco M4 Pro 5G launched with faster charging, improved cameras and many more


Today, the Poco M4 Pro 5G was launched as the successor to the Poco M3 Pro 5G that was released about half a year ago. It is a more refined phone that takes the things that the M3 Pro 5G did good and improves on them, giving you an improved experience. Poco M4 Pro 5G Price and Availability

The Poco M4 Pro 5G is priced at €230 for the base model and €250 for the upgraded 6GB 128GB model. However, there are early bird prices so you can get the base model at €200 and the upgraded 6GB 128GB model at €220. It will be available globally on November 11 which is the singles day, a popular holiday in China. Also, it is available in three colors at launch which are Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow. If you want to purchase it, it’ll be available from Poco’s stores, as well as AliExpress, Goboo, and Shopee.


Poco M4 Pro 5G Specs

One of the improvements comes in the display department as the Poco M4 Pro 5G now has a slightly larger 6.6-inch IPS LCD that has a 1080p+ resolution and 450 nits typ brightness. It also now supports a full DCI P3 wide color gamut. The display has a 90 Hz refresh rate with a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. It is still protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.


The cameras also got upgraded. The Poco M4 Pro 5G comes with a dual rear camera that features a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera for extra flexibility. The selfie camera wasn’t left out also as it is now a 16MP sensor in a tiny punch-hole cutout at the top.


The processor on the Poco M4 Pro 5G is a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G (6nm) SoC coupled with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage with micro SD card support. The phone runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 skin on top to allow enough customizations.


The new phone comes with 5G network support, Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC (region dependent), OTG, and an infrared port. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and 2D face unlock for biometric security.

The Poco M4 Pro 5G is fitted with the 5,000 mAh battery as its predecessor. However, it now supports 33W fast charging which can charge the phone from 0-100% in 59 minutes. A quick 10-minute charge is now sufficient for watching nearly 2 and a half hours of video.


As for extras, it has a set of new stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
