Oppo, the Chinese technology giant has launched its latest Reno7 series which comprises the Oppo Reno7, Oppo Reno7 Pro, and Oppo Reno7 SE. They all come with amazing specs and features which we’ll go through in this article. Everything you need about the new Reno7 series including its pricing and availability will be included in this post. Without further ado, let’s get right into it.

Oppo Reno7 5G

The Oppo Reno7 5G strike a perfect balance between its two siblings as it is in between in terms of price and hardware specs.



The Reno7 5G sports a 6.43 inches AMOLED display that has a FHD resolution with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness in certain scenarios. The screen is HDR capable and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

It has a punch-hole cutout at the top left which houses the 32MP selfie camera. The phone has a tri rear setup that features a 64MP camera with f/1.7 aperture alongside an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. As for video recording, the rear camera caps out at 4K and the selfie camera caps out at 1080p.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno7 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset coupled with the Adreno 642L GPU. It comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage with no micro SD support. The phone runs on Android 11 with Color OS 12.

Backing the Oppo Reno7 5G is a 4,500 mAh battery that has support for 60W fast charging via its USB-C port. It also has support for reverse charging so you can use it to charge other devices.

As for connectivity, the Reno7 5G comes with Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and OTG. Other features include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. Also, it lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack as Oppo got rid of them in this new lineup.

The Oppo Reno7 5G is priced at CNY 2,699 (≈$422) for the 8GB 128GB model, CNY 2,999 (≈$470) for the 8GB 256GB model, and CNY 3,299 (≈517) for the 12GB 256GB model. It will go on sale in China from December 3. There’s no information on global availability yet.

Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G

This is the most premium and expensive smartphone in the new Reno7 series. The Reno7 Pro 5G sports a 6.55-inch AMOLED display that has a FHD resolution with a 90 Hz refresh, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support. As for brightness, it can go up 800 nits in direct sunlight and up to 920 nits while viewing HDR content. The screen has an embedded fingerprint sensor for biometric security and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G draws its power from the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Max SoC coupled with the Mali G77 MC9 GPU. It comes with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The phone runs on Android 11 with Color OS 12.

The Reno7 Pro 5G has a 32MP selfie camera tucked in the punch-hole cutout at the top left corner. At the rear, it has a camera bump that houses a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera alongside an ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera can record 4K videos while the selfie camera can only record up to 1080p. The camera bump has a ringed breathing LED that serves as a notification LED.

Oppo Reno7 SE 5G

This is the cheapest and least premium out of the bunch.
Upfront, the Reno7 SE 5G sports a 6.43 inches AMOLED display that has a FHD resolution with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a max brightness of 600 nits for HDR contents. The screen has a tiny cutout at the top left and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor just like its more expensive siblings.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno7 SE 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC coupled with the Mali G68 MC4 GPU. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage with no micro SD support. Just like its siblings, it runs on Android 11 with Color OS 12.

As for the camera, the Reno7 SE has a tri rear setup that features a 48MP IMX581 main camera alongside two 2MP macro and depth cameras. It has a 16MP selfie camera tucked in a tiny cutout at the top left corner of the display.

As for the battery, the Oppo Reno7 SE 5G is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery that has support for 33W fast charging via its USB-C port.
