Lenovo is a multinational technology company based in China and it is known for its many consumer electronics like laptops, smartphones, smart accessories, etc. After lots of teasing and leaks, Lenovo has finally launched the Lenovo Legion Y70 as its latest flagship smartphone.

The Legion Y70 is also the latest addition to the popular Legion series known for its high-performance gaming smartphones. Being a gaming smartphone, the phone comes with all the high-end specs so performance is not going to be a concern.

Lenovo Legion Y70
On the inside, the Lenovo Legion Y70 is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset coupled with the Adreno 730 GPU. This is the first Lenovo smartphone to have this chipset so it is a great feature.
The phone comes with 8GB or 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB or 256GB or 512GB of fast UFS 3.1 internal storage with no micro SD card slot. On the software front, it runs on Lenovo’s ZUI 14 based on the latest Android 12 OS.

To ensure maximum performance over a longer period of time, Lenovo equips this phone with up to 10 layers of cooling solutions like multiple graphite sheets and a large vapor chamber. The phone’s vapor chamber is the biggest on the market as of now as it has an area of 5,047 mm².
Upfront, the Lenovo Legion Y70 has a 6.67-inch OLED display that has an FHD+ resolution with a high refresh rate of 144 Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 1500 Hz. It also has support for HDR10+ with a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The screen has a tiny punch-hole cutout at the top center.

Coming to the cameras, on the rear, there is a triple setup that has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide camera with a 120° field of view, and a 2MP depth camera. It can record videos at up to 8K resolution which is impressive. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera tucked in the punch-hole cutout at the top.
The Lenovo Legion Y70 comes with a 5,100 mAh non-removable battery that has support for 68W fast charging via its USB Type-C port. Lenovo claims it will take the phone from 0% to 80% in only 34 minutes of charging.
The comes with support for 5G networks and it has dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the power button. Also, there are stereo speakers on the phone so the gaming experience is fantastic. As for color options, the phone can be gotten in Black, White, and Red.

Finally coming to this, the Lenovo Legion Y70 price starts at $485 (CNY 3,299) for the base model and it goes up to around $660 for the highest-end model. It is already available for pre-order on Lenovo’s website in China but there is no information on when it will launch in the global market.
