Huawei alongside AT&T has just announced the Huawei Ascend XT which is a new budget smartphone with great features. The Huawei Ascend XT comes with some cool specs like a 6.0 inches display and an octa-core processor. Huawei Ascend XT specs and price will be written in this article, I’ll also be doing a quick review of it. Without further ado, let’s get right into it.

Design and Body

The design of the Huawei Ascend XT is a simple one. It comes in a plastic body which is very durable and light. It has a thickness of 8.9 mm and weighs about 165 grams (including the battery). It is available in only one color which is black.

Display

Coming to the display which is the thing you interact with most in a smartphone, the Huawei Ascend XT comes with a 6.0 inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and 245 PPI density. Unfortunately, the display doesn’t have protection of any kind.

Processor and Memory

Huawei Ascend XT is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor that features 4 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and another 4 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz. The Adreno 405 GPU is in charge of gaming and graphics-related activities.
It comes with 2GB of RAM which is “ok” for multitasking and 16GB of built-in storage. It has a micro SD card slot for expanding the storage with up to 32GB of storage.

Camera

Coming to the camera department, the Huawei Ascend XT has a single rear camera that is a 8 megapixels camera with f/2.0 aperture and AutoFocus. The rear camera can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
At the front, we have a 2 megapixels camera for taking selfies and video calls.

Battery and Charging

Coming to this department, the Huawei Ascend XT comes with a fairly large 3,000 mAh Li-Ion battery that is not removable. The battery is expected to last you up to a day. It has a micro USB port for charging and data transfer.

Network and Connectivity

The Huawei Ascend XT comes with support for 4G LTE network which gives you access to fast internet speeds when downloading and browsing. It comes with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, and FM radio. The Huawei Ascend XT is available on AT&T carrier only.
