Redmi launches new 55-inch and 65-inch Smart TV X 2022 models with 120 Hz displays in China

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has unveiled its new set of Smart TVs which are the 55-inch and 65-inch Smart TV X 2022 models. These new smart televisions come with features like 120Hz displays that make them great for gaming as well as sports viewing.


These new Smart TV X got an official recommendation from the Xbox team in China.

The new TVs come with 4K screens that support HDR and Dolby Vision. Also, they cover 94% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and have good color calibration (deltaE around 2). As stated before, this is a 120Hz display and if you’re watching a video or live TV, the footage can be converted to 120 fps by the TV.


As for build quality, they have an all-metal body, including a metal base.
There are lots of wired connection options available on these new Smart TVs including three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one network port, AV input, S/PDIF, and an antenna. The HDMI ports here is a v2.1 so it has support for variable refresh rate (VRR) thanks to FreeSync Premium. Also, Auto Low Latency Mode is supported. This makes the Smart TVs automatically switch to a gaming mode with just 4 ms latency when you connect a console or PC.

They also support wireless casting so you can share content with them using other smart devices.


The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 is powered by a chipset that has four Cortex-A73 cores with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. They run on MIUI for TV 3.0 operating system.


As for sounds, there are two 12.5W speakers built-in with Dolby Atmos support. Also, there are in-built microphones to help with voice commands by detecting your voice say a distance.

Redmi Smart TV X 2022 Price & Availability


The 55-inch Redmi Smart TV X 2022 will sell for CNY 2,700 ($420) while the 65-inch model will sell for CNY 3,500 ($550). They will go on sale on October 31 and will be available in China through Xiaomi’s stores as well as select retail stores.
Presently, it is available only in China and if it goes global, there’ll be slight changes in the price.
