TCL is a technology company that has been making strides in the past few years, and recently, with its NxtPaper series of smartphones. Now, the company has unveiled the TCL 50 SE alongside the TCL 50 5G, but we’d be talking about the former here.
TCL 50 SE Features
Looking at the phone, you are greeted by a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display that has an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the TCL 50 SE is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC.
It is then paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage with a dedicated micro SD slot.
A dual rear camera setup features a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, there is an 8MP front-facing camera tucked in a tiny punch-hole cutout.
On the inside, the TCL 50 SE is backed by a 5,010 mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. TCL claims that the fast charger will take the phone from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes of charging.
There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
As for connectivity, it comes with LTE support, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. On the software side, the TCL 50 SE runs on Android 14 with a planned upgrade to Android 15.
TCL 50 SE Price and Availability
The TCL 50 SE price is set at €149 for the base 4GB 128GB model, and I expect it to go up to €179 for the 6GB 256GB model.
The phone will be available in the coming months as the company just made an announcement.
