LG has just announced another budget entry-level smartphone which is the LG Aristo 3. It is the successor to the previous LG Aristo 2 that was launched around this time last year. The LG Aristo 3 come with some upgrades over its predecessor like a slightly larger battery and a new face unlock amongst others. Design and Body
The design of the LG Aristo 3 is a simple one. It comes in a “cheap” plastic body which is not bad because it’s a “cheap” phone. It has a thickness of 8.1 mm and weighs about 140 grams (including the battery). It is available in only one color which is Platinum Grey.
Coming to the display which is the first thing you see on a phone, the LG Aristo 3 comes with a 5.0 inches TFT LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and 294 PPI density.
Processor and Memory
LG Aristo 3 is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor which has a maximum clock speed of 1.4 GHz. The Adreno 308 GPU is in charge of gaming and graphics-related activities.
It comes with 2GB of RAM which is “ok” for multitasking and 16GB of built-in storage. It has a dedicated micro SD card for expanding the storage when the need arises. You can add an extra 32GB of storage using an SD card.
Coming to the camera department, the LG Aristo 3 has a single rear camera that is a 13 megapixels camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAf). It has a single LED flash and can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
At the front, there is a 5MP camera for your selfie needs. The selfie camera has a portrait mode that adjusts background blur against a subject in focus. The selfie camera can only record 720p videos at 30 fps.
Battery and Charging
Coming to this department, the LG Aristo 3 has a 2,500 mAh Li-Ion battery that is removable. The battery promises you over 1 day of usage, up to 17 hours of talk time, and up to 14 days of standby time. And it does not support fast charging or wireless charging.
Network and Connectivity
The LG Aristo 3 has support for 4G LTE network which gives you access to fast internet speeds when downloading and browsing. It comes with Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, and FM radio. It has a micro USB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.
As for software, the LG Aristo 3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with LG UX skin on top. You get some LG exclusive apps and features with this phone thanks to LG UX.
