Samsung is a South Korean technology company known for manufacturing smartphones, laptops, smart accessories, monitors, consumer electronics, and other non-consumer electronic. After lots of leaks, Samsung has finally launched the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, and it will come in as the cheapest 5G smartphone from the South Korean company as of launch.

The Samsung Galaxy A-series smartphones have been built with the intention of appealing to the many people in the market who can’t afford the more expensive Galaxy smartphones. On one hand, this is a nice thing to do but on the other hand, it doesn’t always give out a good end product and that is really highlighted in the A32 5G.
To achieve a relatively affordable price whilst having a processor with 5G support, Samsung has made lots of terrible downgrades when compared to the 4G LTE version. You now have an inferior display, not as good cameras, and removal of the in-display fingerprint sensor just to house a slightly better processor with a 5G modem.
In this article, I’ll be sharing with you everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, its full specifications, price, and review. Let us get right into it without taking much of our time.

Display
In the display department, Samsung made the most awful downgrade when compared to its predecessor. You now have a slightly larger screen but with a lower resolution, a lower refresh, and an LCD panel as opposed to AMOLED.
The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G sports a 6.5 inches IPS LCD display that has an HD resolution with 270 pixels per inch density. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protecting it so it is resistant to scratches and easy damage. As for brightness, the phone has a max brightness of about 420 nits and under bright sunlight outdoors, it can reach a peak of about 495 nits.

The LCD panel doesn’t offer the pop, darker colors, and deep blacks that an OLED panel has and it is also less power efficient. The refresh rate is now back to 60Hz ad opposed to 90Hz on the 4G version.
Design and Body
The design of the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G doesn’t change much.
The phone comes in a plastic body that has a glossy finish on the rear with the frame having a decent shiny finish on it. This finish makes the phone keep grease and fingerprint smudges on when you use it over a period of time. Plastic is still very durable which is the only positive thing to say about the build quality.
The body has a thickness of 9.1 mm and it comes in at 205 grams of weight.
On the rear, you would find the quad camera setup and an LED flash at the top left with Samsung’s branding and other inscriptions at the bottom center.
On the sides, you’d find the power button and volume rockers at the right with the SIM card slot being at the left. The power button doubles as a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. It is fast and responsive so you can rely on it to work instantly every time.
Processor and Memory
Coming to the processor, Samsung finally decided to fit the phone with a better processor that has support for 5G networks.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G chipset that is built on a 7nm fabrication process. The octa-core chipset features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz also.
The chipset is paired with the Mali G57 MC3 GPU that offers a decent performance when gaming and carrying out other graphics-intensive tasks. It is not a really powerful chipset but it does what is expected of a mid-range product and is an upgrade over the Helio G80 in the 4G version.
The processor is paired with 4GB or 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The configurations are 4GB 64GB, 4GB 128GB, 6GB 128GB, and 8GB 128GB. There’s support for micro SD cards so you can expand the storage if need be.
Software
On the software front, the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G runs on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top and it is upgradable to Android 12 with One UI 4.1.
Camera
On the rear, the Galaxy A32 5G has a quad camera setup that features a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The camera can record videos in up to 4K resolution at 30 fps.

There is a 13MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture tucked in the water drop notch at the top center. It can record videos in up to 1080p resolution at 30 fps.
Battery and Charging
On the inside, the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is backed by a massive 5,000 mAh non-removable battery. It is quite large and offers a good battery life when compared to other budget smartphones.
As for charging, the phone has support for 15W charging which is outdated at this phone. It takes over 2 hours to take the phone from 0% to 100% which is really disappointing.
Network and Connectivity
As stated in the name, there is support 5G network on the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G and it has support for SA, NSA, and Sub6 bands.

The phone comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (a/b/g/n/ac), Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0 (A2DP, LE), GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), FM Radio, and NFC (region dependent). There is a USB 2.0 Type C port with On-The-Go support for charging, data transfer, etc.
Samsung Galaxy A32 5G Price
As of launch, the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G price starts at around $250 for the 64GB storage model and it can go up to $290 for the 128GB storage model.
