The Samsung Galaxy A03s comes in as the successor to the Galaxy A02s which was launched close to a year ago. The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display, an Helio P35 chipset, a triple rear camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging. When compared to the Galaxy A02s, there is not much difference except for updated software and a slightly better processor. It is also one of the cheapest Samsung smartphones that you can buy.

Display
The Samsung Galaxy A03s sports a 6.5 inches PLS LCD display that has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels with a pixel-per-inch density of 270. It has a 20 by 9 aspect ratio with a waterdrop notch at the top center.
The screen is protected by an unbranded flat sheet of glass so it should prevent scratches and easy damage. There is no fancy stuff like a high refresh rate or HDR support. The display can go as bright as 480 nits which is impressive.
Design and Body
Samsung keeps things simple with the design of this phone as the company opted to make little to no difference when compared to its predecessor. This is not bad as the Galaxy A03s still looks good enough for a budget-friendly smartphone.
The phone comes in a polycarbonate plastic body that has a thickness of 9.1 mm and it comes in at 196 grams of weight. The phone feels good in the hands as the plastic body has a fingerprint-like texture to improve its grip.
On the rear, there is a triple-camera setup and Samsungs branding. On the sides, there are the volume rockers and a power button which also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
Processor and Memory
On the inside, the Samsung Galaxy A03s draws its power from the octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset that is built on a 12nm fab process. It has a maximum clock speed of 2.3 GHz coupled with the PowerVR GE8320 GPU for graphic-intensive tasks.
The processor is paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. It has a micro SD card slot that can expand the storage by up to 1TB.
Software
On the software front, the Samsung Galaxy A03s comes running on Android 11 with One UI 3.0 Core on top. It is now upgradeable to One UI 4.1 Core with Android 12.
Camera
On the rear, there is a triple camera setup that features a 13MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The macro camera helps to take close-up shots while the depth camera helps to add bokeh. It can record videos in 1080p resolution at 30 fps.
On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture and it can also record videos in up to 1080p resolution.
Battery and Charging
The Samsung Galaxy A03s is backed by a 5,000 mAh non-removable battery. With this large capacity, you won’t need to charge frequently as you’re getting a whole day of battery life.
When it eventually runs low, there is support for 15W fast charging via the USB-C port.
