Samsung, the South Korean technology giant has launched the Samsung Galaxy A20e a month after the launch of the vanilla Galaxy A20. The Samsung Galaxy A20e is a more compact and less premium version of the Samsung Galaxy A20 at a relatively affordable price. The display on the Samsung Galaxy A20e is a 5.8 inches PLS TFT LCD that has a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels and 296 PPI density with an aspect ratio of 19.5 by 9. The display got downgraded when compared to the Galaxy A20 which has a Super AMOLED screen.
Design and Body
The design of this smartphone is very similar to its more expensive sibling with little or no difference except being more compact. It comes in a plastic unibody that has a thickness of 8.4 mm and weighs about 141 grams. The rear panel houses the dual-camera setup, Samsung’s branding, and a fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
Processor and Memory
Powering the Samsung Galaxy A20e is an octa-core Exynos 7884 (14nm) SoC which has a maximum clock speed of 1.6 GHz coupled with the Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage.
The dual rear camera setup features a 13MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture and Auto Focus alongside a 5MP ultrawide camera with f/2.2 aperture for a wider view. It can record videos at up to 1080p at 30 or 60 fps. The rear camera having an ultrawide camera is a good feature as it is more useful than the gimmicky depth camera.
