The Infinix Note 6 is the 6th iteration of the Infinix Note series by Infinix Mobility. The Infinix Note 6 is the successor to the Infinix Note 5 and Infinix Note 5 Stylus. Infinix Note 6 is the predecessor of the Infinix Note 7 and Note 7 Lite that was launched some months back. In this article, I’ll be doing a review of Infinix Note 6 in 2020 telling you if it is still worth buying even when it already has a successor.

The display of a smartphone is like the first thing that you see a first sight, so it’s every smartphone should have a good display. The Infinix Note 6 sports a 6.0 inches AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and 402 pixels per inch density. There is no screen protection of any kind on this smartphone. The phone has always on display feature.
Design and Body
The Infinix Note 6 is a very sleek phone, it has an ultraslim 7.7 mm design with it weighing 173 grams. The phone has minimal bezels at the top and bottom thanks to its 18:9 aspect ratio and 81.1% screen to body ratio. Being a note, the phone comes with an in built X Pen. The X Pen has significant enhancements in handwriting identification and expands adaptability to various forms of writing situations.
Processor and Memory
Infinix Note 6 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor which features 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and another 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The processor is built on a 12nm fabrication process. The PowerVR GE8320 is in charge of graphics and gaming here.
This phone comes with 4GB of RAM for good multitasking and 64GB built-in storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage if need be.
Coming to the camera, the Infinix Note 6 has a triple rear camera setup which features a 16MP main camera, a 8MP ultrawide camera for wider view and a 2MP depth camera for bokeh effects. The rear cameras can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
At the front, there is a 16 megapixels selfie camera with a LED flash which helps in low light situations. The front camera can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
Battery and Charging
The battery on this phone is one of the top selling points as Infinix Mobility calls it a 3 day battery life. The Infinix Note 6 comes with a 4,000 mAh non removable Li-Po battery. The phone comes with X Charge so you’ll spend less time when charging. The phone charges via the micro USB port.
Network and Connectivity
Infinix Note 6 comes with support for 4G LTE network which gives you access to fast blazing internet speeds of up to 150 Mbps when downloading and browsing. This smartphone comes with Bluetooth 5.0 A2DP LE, dual band WiFi 5, GPS, FM radio and WiFi hotspot. The phone supports OTG feature.
The Infinix Note 6 runs on Android 9 Pie with Infinix Mobility own XOS 5.0 skin on top. The phone didn’t get any software update to Android 10 and might never get any.
Infinix Note 6 Review in 2020
In 2020, the Infinix Note 6 is not really a good smartphone for you to buy. The fact that it runs on an Ad infested skin and it didn’t get any software update is another deal breaker. The phone is not really worth buying because there are better options for you in the same price range.
