The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star is the Chinese-only version of the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star which is available globally. The difference between these two phones is not much except the presence of CDMA network on the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star. The display on the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star is a 6.3 inches Super AMOLED that has a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels and 392 PPI density with an aspect ratio of 18.5 by 9. The screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which is scratch-resistant and immune to easy damage.
Design and Body
The design of the Galaxy A9 Star is not that attractive but it makes up for that by having a near-premium build and body quality. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and back with an aluminum frame. It comes in at 191 grams of weight and has a thickness of 7.6 mm which is sleek.

Powering the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 (14nm) SoC which has a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz coupled with the Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with micro SD card support.
The dual rear camera system features a 24MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 16MP secondary camera with f/1.7 aperture alongside an LED flash. The dual rear camera system can record 4K videos at 30 fps and also 1080p videos at 30 fps.
