With the WWDC22 wrapping up today, one of the best announcements for the WWDC22 M2 chip which was not expected was announced and was integrated into a MacBook air.
These announcements changed the game for the MacBook Air series. Nothing changed but the it now came with a new M2 chip and the old abandoned MagSafe.

Design and display
It comes in 13.6inches and a brighter 500nits liquid retina IPS display with support fit more colour 1billion with slimmer bezels. It still maintained the notch, no face ID was integrated and it came in four colours silver, space-grey, starlight and midnight.
Processor and memory
It housed a brand new M2 chip a successor to the M1 chip launched in 2021. Apple claims that M2 delivers a 1.4x performance boost over the M1 with constant 18hours battery life.
The M2 chip now supports 24GB of LPDDR5 RAM compared to the LPDDR4x RAM on the M1. It possesses an 8-core GPU with 8GB of ram and 256GB for the base model and the fancier model 10core GPU, 8GB Ram and 512GB of storage.
Camera
Apple never cared about the Webcam for long. But with the new, you have a 1080p Webcam which makes you attend more meetings with a clear camera cam.
Battery and charging
The M2 MacBook air still maintains the 18hours speculated battery just like the M1 chip. Apple is serious about fast charging as it uses the 35W dual port USB C charger. The abandoned MagSafe is also back in the MacBook air.
Software
It runs on the new macOS Ventura. It is installed by default when you purchase one from Apple.

For the base model, it costs $1199
For the fancier model, it cost $1449
