After almost a month after the launch of the Huawei nova 9 in China, it has finally made its way to the global stage as it was just launched in Vienna. Only the nova 9 was launched as the Pro model is going to still be China-exclusive.

As the title states, the Huawei nova 9 is priced at €500 which is equivalent to $582 at present exchange rates. It is already available for pre-order and it will come with a free pair of Huawei FreeBuds 4 earphones if pre-ordered.

On the front, the Huawei nova 9 has a 6.57 inches OLED display that has an FHD+ resolution with 392 PPI density and 1B color. The display has a 120Hz high refresh rate and has support for HDR10. The screen has curved edges which make it look aesthetically pleasing but prone to accidental touches. Beneath the display, there is an optical fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
Under the hood, the Huawei nova 9 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G (6nm) processor that has a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz coupled with Adreno 642L GPU. It comes packed with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of fast UFS storage. Unfortunately, there’s no micro SD card slot here.
On the rear is a quad camera setup that features a 50MP RYYB sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and two 2MP cameras for macro shots and depth data. On the front, is a 32MP camera for all your selfie and vlog needs. Both the selfie and rear camera can record 4K videos.
Backing the Huawei nova 9 is a 4,300 mAh non-removable battery. It has support for 66W Huawei SuperCharge via its USB-C port.
The nova 9 comes running on EMUI 12 on top of Android 11, but it lacks Google Mobile Services.
As for connectivity, it comes with Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. It also supports the following LTE bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 28, 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66.
