Motorola launched two new smartphones to the Moto G series: the Moto G Power 5G (2024) and the Moto G 5G (2024), which we discussed here. The Moto G Power 5G (2024) succeeds last year’s version with the same name and it brings some noticeable improvements.
Moto G Power 5G (2024) Features
The Moto G Power 5G now has a bigger screen, as it sports a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display that has an FHD+ resolution with 120Hz refresh rate.
The chipset here is the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It has a dedicated micro SD slot for expanding the storage.
Going to the cameras, this is the place where there is the most significant change. On the rear, there is a dual camera setup.
The main camera uses a 50MP wide sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with auto-focus flanks it. This allows it to double as a macro camera.
On the front, there is a 16MP sensor tucked in the water drop notch for all your selfie needs.
The Moto G Power 5G (2024) is backed by a 5,000 mAh and it supports 30W fast charging via its USB-C port. And for the first time in a Moto G series smartphone, there is support for wireless charging of up to 15W.
The phone comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and it has dual stereo speakers. There’s support for NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi. As for software, the phone is running on Android 14.

The Moto G Power 5G (2024) price is set at $300 which is relatively affordable, it will be available for sale from March 29. It can be obtained from Motorola’s official website, as well as other retail partner stores.
