While still in 2021, Motorola has decided to unveil the Moto G Power (2022) which will succeed the Moto G Power (2021) that was launched earlier this year. The Motorola Moto G Power (2022) has a price tag of $199 or $249 depending on which storage size you go for. The smartphone is not available yet in the US but Motorola says it will come in early 2022. It will be offered by different carriers and will also have an unlocked version.

The Moto G Power of 2022 is now powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. There’s a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage if need be. The phone will come running on Android 11 straight out of the box which is sad as Android 12 is already released.


The display on this phone is a 6.5 inches IPS LCD that has an HD+ resolution and 270 PPI with a 90 Hz high refresh rate. The screen has a punch-hole cutout at the top center which houses the selfie camera.
The cameras on this phone got some improvements when compared to the previous year’s version. The Moto G Power (2022) now has a triple rear camera setup that features a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture alongside two 2MP macro and depth cameras. On the front, there’s an 8MP camera tucked in a punch-hole cutout for all your selfie and video calls need.


The Motorola Moto G Power (2022) is backed by a massive 5,000 mAh that has support for 10W charging speeds via its USB Type C port. It comes with the appropriate charger in the box which is good news.
As for connectivity, it comes with support for 4G LTE networks, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi Direct.
