iQOO is a subsidiary of Vivo, and the Chinese smartphone company has recently the iQOO 12 Pro which is part of the new iQOO 12 series. The iQOO 12 Pro is the more premium version of the iQOO 12 which it was launched alongside.

iQOO 12 Pro Features

Upfront, the display comes with some noticeable improvements as it is now significantly brighter, being able to reach 3,000 nits in extreme situations. The display itself is a 6.78-inch AMOLED E7 panel that has a resolution of 1440 x 3200 with a 144Hz refresh rate. It has support for 1440Hz PWM dimming which is going to be appreciated by lots of people. Beneath the display, there is an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is now very quick.

The design of the iQOO 12 Pro is something to definitely talk about as it is absolutely amazing. First, there edges of the screen and rear panel are curved revealing a thin frame. It is available in black and red with the former having a Flourite AG glass back and the latter having a vegan leather back.

Under the hood, the iQOO 12 Pro runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which is the best-performing chip right now on any Android phone. The phone also has a special Q1 chip which enables some gaming-centric features, and there is a vapor chamber to prevent overheating.
The iQOO 12 Pro comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and for storage, it uses UFS 4.0 with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB options being available. The software here is Android 14 with the new OriginOS 4 on top.

The camera is one department where iQOO went all out, on the rear, there is a triple camera setup. The main camera is a 50MP sensor accompanied by a 64MP 3X telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The ultra-wide camera comes with Auto Focus which means that it can double as a macro camera for closeups.
On the front, the phone packs a 16MP camera for all your selfie needs.

Powering all of these is a 5,100 mAh non-removable battery which iQOO claims is very durable and would retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles. As for charging, there is support for 120W super fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.

iQOO 12 Pro Price and Availability

The iQOO 12 Pro price starts at $688 (CNY 4,999) for the base 256GB model, $758 (CNY 5,499) for its 512GB model, and $825 (CNY 5,999) for the highest end 1TB model. The phone will go on sale in China in one week, and we expect it to make its way to the global market very soon.
