This smartphone is not really great when compared to top flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S9 or the iPhone X but it is a steal considering its price. Design and Body
The design of the UMIDIGI Z2 Pro is mesmerizing, it has a premium design that makes one think it’s more expensive than its price. It comes in a glass sandwich body with an aluminum frame. However, there’s a limited edition Luxury Ceramic option that comes at a higher price. The rear glass allows for wireless charging. There’s a dual-camera setup, Umidigi’s branding, and a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone. It is sleek, with it having a thickness of 8.3 mm and weighing 165 grams. Unfortunately, there’s no 3.5 mm headphone jack on this phone.
Display
The UMIDIGI Z2 Pro comes with a 6.2 inches IPS LCD that has a resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels and 403 PPI density with an aspect ratio of 19 by 9. The screen has a U-shaped notch that looks just like the iPhone X‘s notch.
Processor and Memory
UMIDIGI Z2 Pro is powered by the all-new octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 (12nm) chipset which has a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz coupled with the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. This chipset offers over 50% boost in performance when compared to previous Helio P chipsets thanks to its new Cortex A73 cores. The Z2 Pro comes with 6GB of LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM and an ample 128GB of internal storage with micro SD card support of up to 256GB.
Battery and Charging
Backing the UMIDIGI Z2 Pro is a fairly huge 3,550 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. As for charging, you can either choose from an 18W fast wired charging and a 15W fast wireless charging. If you buy the limited edition Luxury Ceramic version, you’d get a free 15W wireless charger designed for the phone.
Camera
Coming to the camera which is one of the top-selling points of this phone, the UMIDIGI Z2 Pro sports a dual-camera setup at the rear that features a 16MP main camera and an 8MP secondary camera. On the front, there’s also a dual-camera setup that features a 16MP main camera and an 8MP secondary camera. As for video recording, they can both record 1080p and 720p videos at 30 fps.
