Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy S9 flagship series which they launched at the MWC 2018 event in Barcelona, Spain. It was released along side the Galaxy S9 Plus which is a bigger variant. Display and Body
Samsung Galaxy S9 has similar looks as it predecessor still with the nice premium build. It has 5.8 inches Super AMOLED infinity display, the display has a 83.6% screen to body ratio, 1440×2960 pixels, 570 pixels per inch density and a 18·5:9 aspect ratio as before which allows you to have more screen space without being unnecessarily large.
To save power, the Super AMOLED display runs on a full HD resolution by default which you might decide to change in settings if you want to the maximum 2960 X 1440 pixels (570 ppi) and don’t care about battery.
The display offers a near-bezel-less edge to edge screen and a curved display that creates the illusion of an infinity display.
Samsung Galaxy S9 has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back of the phone to protect it against scratches and easy damage. It also has a metal frame which gives the phone a premium feel when you hold it.
Processor and Memory
The Samsung Galaxy S9 offers two different processor depending on your region. The Galaxy S9 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with Adreno 630 GPU for those in US and China while those in Europe, Middle East and Africa get an octa-core Exynos 9810 processor with Mali G72 MP18 GPU.
Samsung Galaxy S9 features 4GB RAM which ensures a smooth performance. It comes with 64GB or 128GB or 256GB internal storage. It has a shared micro SD card slot which is only available in the dual SIM model.
Samsung Galaxy S9 has AI integration into the camera to offer milestone capturing experience. On the back, we have a 12MP rear camera with the DRAM chip mounted on top. This deliver power directly to the camera, hence, a much quicker processing speed. Another great thing, is the dual aperture technology which switches between a f/1.5 and f/2.4.
Also one of the features of the Samsung Galaxy S9 that was showcased at the MWC 2018 event, is the slow motion capturing up to 960fps at 720p. It has a motion detector which automatically starts the recording once motion is detected. You can also record Slo-Mo at 1080p full HD, but at 240 fps. On the front, we have a 8MP selfie camera for better wide angle selfies and a 2MP dedicated Iris scanner camera. The front camera supports dual video call and can record 1440p at 30 fps.

Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with a 3000 mAh battery which is not very large, but Samsung made up for it by using a power efficient processor and introducing Quick Charge 2.0. It charges via the USB type C port and supports Qi/ PMA wireless charging.
Samsung Galaxy S9 runs on Samsung Experience UI based on Android 8 Oreo. It can be upgraded to One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 Q.
