OnePlus is a Chinese technology company owned by BBK Electronics. Over the years, OnePlus built a reputation of being a brand for enthusiasts as it offers flagship features at relatively affordable prices. Now, OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus 11 which is the company’s latest flagship smartphone. It is also the successor to the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 10T.
OnePlus 11 Features
The OnePlus 11 comes with a lot of top high-end features as all high-end flagship does. So let’s get into the nitty gritty of this amazing smartphone.
Upfront, OnePlus has effected some changes, there is a new LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display. It is 6.7 inches with a 2K+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The display can refresh at 1Hz to 120Hz which reduces power consumption. There is an optical fingerprint sensor in the display for biometric authentication.
The OnePlus 11 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is the most powerful chipset yet in an Android phone. OnePlus also says that it will be fully operational at its maximum capacity.
The chipset is coupled with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of fast UFS 4.0 storage with no expansion.
On the software side, OnePlus 11 runs on Android 13 with Oxygen OS or Color OS (China-exclusive).
The cameras also got upgraded when compared to its predecessor.
On the rear, the Hasselblad camera now has a 50MP main camera which features a Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and multidirectional PDAF. The other two cameras are a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultrawide camera with autofocus and a 32MP Sony IMX709 2X telephoto camera. The ultrawide camera also doubles as a macro camera for taking close-ups.
On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera tucked in a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner of the display.
As for videos, the rear camera can record in up to 8K resolution at 24 fps while the selfie camera is limited to 1080p resolution at 30 fps.
The battery of the OnePlus 11 is at 5,000 mAh which is just like its predecessor, where things change is charging. There is now support for 100W fast wired charging but wireless charging had to be let go.
The phone comes in a premium body that has glass at the rear and front with an aluminum frame. It has a 602 cu.mm X-axis vibration motor, which OnePlus claims is the biggest in a smartphone. It will improve the haptics and gaming experience.
As expected, there is 5G connectivity on the OnePlus 11. It comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB OTG. As for navigation, it comes with GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS (G1), BDS (B1I+B1c+B2a), GALILEO (E1+E5a), and QZSS (L1+L5).
OnePlus 11 Price
The OnePlus 11 price starts at $580 / €545 (CNY 3,999) for the base 12GB 256GB model, $640 / €600 (CNY 4,399) for the 16GB 256GB model, and $710 / €670 (CNY 4,899) for the highest end 16GB 512GB model. It is only available in China for now as global availability will begin on February 7.
