The display on the BLU C5 Plus is a 5.5 inches IPS LCD that has a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 292 PPI density with an aspect ratio of 18 by 9. The screen has some noticable bezels around it but it’s not that bad considering its price.
Design and Body
Being an extremely affordable entry-level smartphone, the BLU C5 Plus does not come with a premium design to talk about. It comes in a plastic unibody with smooth lines and a flawless paint finish. It comes in at 158 grams of weight and has a thickness of 10 mm. It is available in the following array of colors: Gradient Blue, Black, and Red.
Processor and Memory
BLU C5 Plus is powered by the quad-core MediaTek MT6580M (28nm) SoC which has a maximum clock speed of 1.3 GHz coupled with a Mali 400 MP2 GPU. It comes with a meager 1GB of RAM and a paltry 16GB of internal storage with micro SD card support of up to 64GB of space.
On the rear, is an 8MP single camera setup alongside an LED flash. On the front, is also an 8MP camera for all your selfie and video calls need. As for video recording, both the selfie camera and rear camera can record 720p videos at 30 fps.
Network and Connectivity
Unfortunately, there’s no support for 4G LTE network on the BLU C5 Plus, it only supports 3G and 2G GSM networks. However, it comes with Wi-Fi, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and FM radio. Also, it has a micro USB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.
Battery and Charging
Backing the BLU C5 Plus is a 2,200 mAh Li-Polymer battery that is removable. Sadly, there’s no support for fast charging which was expected considering its extremely low price.
On the software front, the BLU C5 Plus comes running on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition straight out of the box.
