The Blackview BL5000 is an affordable smartphone with 5G connectivity that was recently launched by Blackview. Display
The Blackview BL5000 sports a fairly large 6.36 inches IPS LCD that has a resolution of 1080 x 2300 pixels and 400 PPI density with an aspect ratio of 19 by 9 and 84% screen-to-body ratio. The screen has a cutout at the top left corner and it is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which is scratch-resistant.
Design and Body
Not forgetting, the Blackview BL5000 5G is a rugged phone so it doesn’t have a conventional design. It comes with a tough, double-shot molded back and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front. It is IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810G rated for water- and dust-proofing and damage resistance so accidental drops have no effect on this phone. On the side, is the power button which doubles as a fingerprint scanner for biometric security. It has a thickness of 12.8 mm and weighs 273 grams. It is also available in three colors which are: Black, Orange, and Green.
Processor and Memory
Powering the Blackview BL5000 is a 7nm power-efficient octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC which has a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz coupled with the ARM G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of fast UFS 2.2 internal storage with no micro SD card support.
Camera
On the rear, is a dual-camera system that features a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor main camera with f/1.75 aperture with a 16MP Samsung S5K3P9SP sensor ultrawide camera for a wider view. It can record videos at up to 2K resolution at 30 fps.
On the front, is a 16 MP Samsung S5K3P9SP sensor camera for all your selfie and video calls. It can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
Network and Connectivity

It comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and FM radio. Also, it has a USB 2.0 type C port with OTG support for charging and data transfer. The USB Type C port also acts as the headphone jack as there’s no 3.5 mm headphone jack on here.
Battery and Charging
The Blackview BL5000 5G is backed by a 4,980 mAh non-removable Li-Polymer battery. The battery promises up to 8 hours of uninterrupted gaming on a single charge thanks to MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave tech. It has support for 30W fast charging which can bring the battery from 0% back to 100% in 80 minutes as advertised.
