Blackview is a Chinese technology company that is known for making rugged smartphones and smart accessories. Blackview has unveiled the Blackview BV7100 which is another rugged smartphone with unconventional features.
The Blackview BV7100 is the successor to the Blackview BV7000 that was launched a couple of years ago. The BV7100 is another rugged smartphone and now, it has a massive 13,000 mAh battery. This is not something any other mainstream smartphone has and only a select few would love it.
In this article, I’ll share with you the Blackview BV7100 specs and price, I’ll also do a quick review of the lovely phone. Let’s get right into today’s article.

Display
Upfront, the Blackview BV7100 sports a fairly large 6.58 inches IPS LCD display that has an FHD+ resolution with 401 PPI density.
The display has a 90Hz refresh rate which makes gaming and scrolling smoother than regular 60Hz displays. The screen can go fairly bright as well as it has a maximum brightness of 480 nits.
One new unconventional feature that this phone has is Glove mode which makes the screen work with gloves so it can be used in extreme environments.
Design and Body
Looking at the phone, I guess everyone can see the unconventional design of the Blackview BV7100. It has a rugged body that is made using different highly durable materials so it’ll stand the hard test.
The phone is IP68 & IP69K dust and water-resistant, and it can survive 30 minutes in up to 1.5m deep water. It also complies with the MIL-STD-810H standards. It is bulky but that is something expected from all rugged smartphones.
Processor and Memory
On the inside, the Blackview BV7100 is powered by the gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G85. It is an octa-core processor that has a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz. It is coupled with the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
The processor is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with a micro SD card slot for expanding the storage by up to 1TB. There is the new RAM extension feature which gives the phone an additional 4GB of RAM using free internal storage.
Software
On the software side, the Blackview BV7100 runs on the newest Android 12 with Doke-OS 3.0 skin on top.
Camera
On the rear, there is a triple camera setup that features a 12MP main camera alongside an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth camera. It can record videos in up to 2K resolution at 30 fps.
On the front, there is an 8MP front-facing camera tucked in the water drop notch at the top center. It can record videos in up to 1080p resolution at 30 fps.
Battery and Charging
The Blackview BV7100 is backed by a massive 13,000 mAh non-removable battery. It can last you for multiple days without needing a charge.
To maintain this humongous battery, there is support for 33W fast charging. The company says that it’ll take the battery from 0% to 51% in 66 minutes of charging. This rules out concerns of needing a long charge time due to the battery size.
Network and Connectivity
There is support for 4G LTE networks on this phone and it supports the following LTE bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 40.
It also comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, FM radio, and USB OTG. As for navigation, the phone comes with GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, & BDS. Sadly, there is no 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is also a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button.

Overall, the Blackview BV7100 is a pretty decent rugged smartphone, it has good enough specifications and features. With all of that, it is still affordable compared to other rugged smartphones. If you want a rugged phone without spending much, I’ll say you buy the Blackview BV7100.
