Infinix Mobility released the Infinix Zero 5 in the Q4 of 2017 as their flagship device for that year. The Infinity Zero 5 comes with a dual rear camera setup making Infinix one of the companies whose phone have a dual rear camera setup. Design and Body
The Infinix Zero 5 has a very attractive design that is enhanced by diamond cutting edge and the stylish metal texture. The phone features a quality build that gives it a premium feel when you hold it in your hands. Infinix Mobility says this device as a product of “exquisite artistry”. In short, this is an elegant device. At the rear, you’ll find the dual camera with a LED flash and a fingerprint sensor for extra protection of your device.
Display
Infinix Zero 5 features a 5.98 inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 368 pixels per inch density. The display is crispy and clear thanks to the 1080p panel Infinix used. The display has a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which is scratch resistant.
Processor and Memory
The MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor is the one doing the tasks in the Infinix Zero 5. The processor features 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and another 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz. The chipset is built on a 16nm fabrication process. The Mali-T880MP2 GPU is in charge of gaming and other graphics-related activities.
The phone comes with 6GB of RAM coupled with 64GB built-in storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage if need be.
Camera
Coming to the camera which is the main selling point of this phone. Infinix Zero 5 has a dual rear camera setup which has a 12MP wide camera sensor coupled with another 13MP telephoto sensor which gives 2X zoom. The camera can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
At the front, we have a 16MP (wide) camera sensor which takes nice selfies. The front camera has a LED flash which helps in low light situations.
Network and Connectivity
Infinix Zero 5 has support for 4G LTE network which gives you access to fast blazing internet speeds when downloading, browsing and uploading. It has support for the following 4G bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40. It comes with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM Radio and hotspot.
Battery and Charging
The battery of this device is huge which is also one of the top-selling points. The Infinix Zero 5 comes with a 4,350 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. The battery is expected to last for more than one day if you’re a light user. There is a USB type C port for charging the phone below the chin.
Software
Infinix Zero 5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Infinix own XOS 3.0 skin on top.
Infinix Zero 5 Review in 2020
Infinix Zero 5 is not worth buying in 2020 as it still runs on Android 7 with no software support at all. The specs are now outdated and obsolete. At the price you’ll want to get the phone, there are better options which comes with newer specs and latest software.
