Huawei Y6 Pro (2019) sports a 6.09 inches IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720×1560 pixels and 282 pixels per inch density. I guess Huawei decided to use a 720p panel to cut costs and it not so bad. The screen does not have protection of any kind.
Design and Body
Coming to the design, the Huawei Y6 Pro (2019) is well designed. Upfront, you have a display with minimal bezels and a dot drop notch at the top to house the front camera. The phone has a plastic body. It is not bulky as it has a thickness of 8 mm and weighs 150 grams. At the rear, you have a single camera, a LED flash and “Huawei” branding. Huawei decided to remove the fingerprint sensor as a way to cut costs.
Processor and Memory
Coming to this department, the Huawei Y6 Pro (2019) is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset which has a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. It has a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Huawei Y6 Pro (2019) has a 13 megapixels rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus. The rear camera takes averagely good low light photos thanks to the f/1.8 aperture. The camera can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
On the front, you have an 8 megapixels camera for your selfie needs. The selfie camera has a LED flash to help in low light situations.
Battery and Charging
The battery on this phone is not so huge but it should last you throughout the day if you’re an average user. The Huawei Y6 Pro of 2019 has a 3,020 mAh battery that is not removable. The phone charges via the USB type C port. It does not support fast charging or wireless charging.
Network and Connectivity
In this department, the Huawei Y6 Pro (2019) is not really lacking as it supports 4G LTE network which gives you access to fast internet speeds. It supports the following 4G LTE bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20. It comes with Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi Direct, GPS and FM radio.
