Infinix has added another mid-range smartphone into their Hot-series called Infinix Hot 9 Play. The Hot 9 Play is the reduced version of the Infinix Hot 9 which was launched earlier last month. Today, I’ll be highlighting the specs of this phone, the Infinix Hot 9 Play

Display and Build
The Infinix Hot 9 Play sports a 6·82 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels and 268 PPI pixels density.
It measures 171.82 x 77.96 x 8.90 mm and weighs about 195 grams. It has an aspect ratio of 20.5:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of about 84.6%.
Coming to the build of the Hot 9 Play, It has a glass front, plastic back and plastic frame.
Processor and Memory
The Infinix Hot 9 Play is powered by a octa-core MediaTek Helio A25 (12nm) that features 4 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and another 4 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz. It features the PowerVR GE8320 GPU for graphics and gaming.
This is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with support for up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
Camera
The Infinix Hot 9 Play has a 13MP + 0.3MP dual rear camera which can record Full HD (1080p) at 30fps.
On the front, we have a 8MP selfie camera fitted in the water drop notch which can record Full HD at 30fps. The selfie camera also serves at Face Unlock.
Network and Connectivity
The Infinix Hot 9 Play has 4G network in it for downloading and surfing the web with LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 8(900), 38(2600), 40(2300), 41(2500). However, it doesn’t have all Global LTE bands on it, it even lacks Glo Band 28.
It comes with Bluetooth 5.0, support for OTG, WiFi, GPS and Hotspot.
Battery and Charging
Talking about the battery, I guess this is one of the key selling point of the device. The Infinix Hot 9 Play has a massive 6000mAh battery. It comes with a 10W normal charge via the micro USB port at the bottom of the device. However, it lacks fast charging.
Software
The Infinix Hot 9 Play runs on Android 10 Go Edition with XOS 6.
Price
The Infinix Hot 9 Play price in Nigeria is expected to be around N42,500 in the Nigerian market when it is made available in Nigeria.
Others
The Infinix Hot 9 Play has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock. It also has the 3.5mm headphone jack.
