Blu is an American smartphone manufacturer based in Doral, a suburb of Miami, Florida. Blu focuses on making smartphones at an affordable price for those who can’t afford to spend much. Blu has just launched the Blu Advance 5.2 HD which is an entry-level smartphone. Without wasting much of our time, let’s go into the specs and features of this phone.

• 5.2 inches TFT display
• MediaTek MT6580 SoC

• 5MP front-facing camera
• 1GB of RAM

Design and Body
The design of the Blu Advance 5.2 HD is a simple one, it comes in a plastic body that is very durable and light. It has a thickness of 9.4 mm and weighs about 160 grams (including the battery). It is available in only two colors which is Black. It is not water-resistant (not sure any <$100 smartphone is).

Display
Coming to the display which is the thing you interact with most on a phone, the Blu Advance 5.2 HD sports a 5.2 inches HD TFT display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and 282 pixels per inch density. I guess the “HD” in the name of the phone is because it has an “HD” display.
Processor and Memory
Blu Advance 5.2 HD is powered by the quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor which has a maximum clock speed of 1.3 GHz. The Mali-400 MP2 GPU is in charge of gaming and graphics-related activities.
It comes with 1GB of RAM which is not bad for multitasking and 8GB of built-in storage. It has a micro SD card slot for expanding the storage when the need arises and you can expand with a 64GB SD card.

Camera
Coming to the camera department, the Blu Advance 5.2 HD has a single rear camera setup that features an 8 megapixels camera and a LED flash. The camera can only record 720p videos at 30 frames per second which is quite poor.
At the front, we have a 5 megapixels camera for taking selfies and video calls.
Battery and Charging
Coming to the battery department, the Blu Advance 5.2 HD comes with a removable 2,600 mAh Li-Po battery. The battery is not that huge but it should last you up to a day if you’re a light user. Unfortunately, it does not support fast charging or wireless charging.
Network and Connectivity
The Blu Advance 5.2 HD doesn’t come with support for fast 4G LTE network, it only supports 3G/2G. The 3G network is going to load www.techfashy.com in less than 3 seconds. It comes with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, and FM radio. It has a micro USB port for charging and data transfer.
Software
As for software, the Blu Advance 5.2 HD runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box
Blu Advance 5.2 HD Price

Blu Advance 5.2 HD price starts at just $60 which is very affordable and way cheaper than brands like Samsung or Apple.
