Design and Body
Samsung decided to go full-metal with the Galaxy S6. The metal design is indeed an impressive one, with the use of matte aluminium alloy frame. It is a great improvement from its predecessors in this regard.
The straight-sided smartphone has slightly-rounded corners and is protected on the front and back with state-of-the-art Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The phone measures a body dimension of 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8 mm which is a compact and weighs 138 grams which makes the phone not bulky at all. It has Samsung Pay with it so you can make payments with all registered merchants. On the front, we have a fingerprint sensor which doubles as the home button.
Samsung decided to leave the screen size unchanged as the Samsung Galaxy S5, it’s predecessor. Processor and Memory
Samsung has chosen its own 64 bit Exynos 7420 octa-core processor for the Galaxy S6 which is built on a 14nm fabrication process over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. The phone comes with 3GB LPDDR4 RAM which Samsung described as 88% faster. It comes with a UFS 2.0 32GB or 64GB or 128GB built-in storage which is also very fast. However, it has no micro SD card slot for expanding the storage.
For the camera, Samsung provided a 16 megapixels sensor with an F1.9 lens with Auto Focus and Optical Image Stabilization, which at the launch event outperformed Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus in terms of low-light pictures. The rear camera comes with a LED flash and can shoot panorama and Auto HDR shots, it can record 4K videos at 30 fps, 1080p videos at 30/60 fps and 720p videos at 120 fps.
The super-fast snapper can be quickly launched by double-tapping the Home button. There is also a quality 5 megapixels front-facing camera on the Samsung Galaxy S6 which can record 1440p videos at 30 fps.
Network and Connectivity
Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with 2G/3G/4G LTE network in it for calling, texting, surfing the web and downloading. It supports the following LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26 and has download speed of up to 300 Mbps and upload speed of up to 50 Mbps. Samsung Galaxy S6 runs on the latest Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system with an improved TouchWiz user interface. It is upgradeable to Android 8.0 Oreo with TouchWiz UI also.

Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 2550 mAh non removable Li-Ion battery. With support for wireless charging and quick charge up to 15W. Samsung says the battery can attain 30% charge in 30 minutes of charging. It charges via the micro USB port.
