After lots of teasing, OnePlus has finally launched the OnePlus Ace 3, which comes in as the direct successor to the OnePlus Ace 2 launched last year. The smartphone was launched at a special event in China where we also saw the launch of the OnePlus Buds 3. In terms of features, the OnePlus Ace 3 is quite interesting as it does enough to make it a forerunner for the best mid-range smartphone of the year. It also shares some features with the OnePlus 12 which was launched a couple of weeks ago. In this article, I’ll share with you the OnePlus Ace 3 specs, price, and features so you can know everything about the phone.
OnePlus Ace 3
Upfront, you can’t help but notice how gorgeous the display of the OnePlus Ace 3 looks. It is a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The display has a resolution of 1,240 x 2,772 pixels, and it can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits which is impressive. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and there’s a tiny punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Ace 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is already a year old now but being a flagship chipset, it will give you an excellent performance. The chipset is paired with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of fast UFS 4.0 storage.
On the front, there is a tiny punch-hole cutout that houses a 16MP selfie camera. On the rear, there is a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens.
On the inside, the phone is backed by a 5,500 mAh non-removable battery that has support for 100W SuperVOOC charger. It is estimated to complete a full charge in just 27 minutes of charging which is good.
Design-wise, this looks like every other OnePlus smartphone that has been launched since the OnePlus 11. It has an aluminum frame with a circular camera island on the rear, and the OnePlus alert slider. As for color options, the phone is available in black, blue, and rose gold colors
As for the software, the OnePlus Ace 3 comes running on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14.
OnePlus Ace 3 Price and Availability
The OnePlus Ace 3 price is set at $365 for the 12GB/256GB model, $420 for the 16GB/512GB model, and $490 for the 16GB/1TB model. Like before, the OnePlus Ace 3 will not make its way out of China. It will be rebranded as the OnePlus 12R for the global market.
