Say hello to the Moto Edge+ and Moto Edge, the Motorola new flagship devices. The Motorola Edge is not much of a flagship device for say compared to what other smartphones manufacturer have but it’s actually a watered down version of the Edge+ at a much cheaper price. Here are the specs of the Motorola Edge.

Display and Design
The Motorola Edge sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ ‘Endless Edge’ curved OLED display. It has a 95·8% screen to body ratio, 21:9 aspect ratio, 385ppi density. Talking about the refresh rate, we have a the 90Hz panel here offers an uplift in smooth scrolling and gaming. The display has support for HDR10. This phone is splash resistant.
Talking about the build, The Moto Edge has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front, plastic back and an aluminum frame.
Processor and Memory
The Motorola Edge is powered by an octa-core 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset and Adreno 620 GPU for gaming and graphics. This is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage(UFS 2·1). There is a micro SD card slot for expanding the storage of this device which uses the shared SIM slot.


Camera
The Motorola Edge has a quad rear camera setup with 64MP(wide) + 16MP(ultrawide) + 8MP(telephoto) + a TOF 3D(depth) sensors. It can record 4K UHD(2160p) at 30fps.
On the front, we have a 25MP punch hole selfie camera at the top left which can record Full HD at 30 fps.
Network and Connectivity
The Motorola Edge has both 5G and 4G LTE network in it for downloading and surfing the web. It supports 5 (Sub-6GHz). It has the following LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25, 26, 28, 32, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66, 71.
It comes with Bluetooth 5·1, WiFi, GPS, NFC, WiFi Direct and Hotspot.


Battery and Charging
The Motorola Edge is backed by a non removable Li-Po 4500 mAh battery.
Talking about charging, it supports 18W fast wired charging via the USB type C port and no wireless charging.
Software
The Motorola Edge runs on Android 10·0. In the Moto Edge, there’s the MY UX with the ability to go into settings to adjust themes, styles and fonts as you want.
Price
The Motorola Edge will retail for €599 approximately N254,000. To me this price looks very outrageous when looking at what other OEMs are offering at similar or smaller price.
Others
The Motorola Edge has an in display fingerprint sensor. It also retains the 3·5 mm headphone jack which most other flagships seem to not keep.
