Xiaomi Mi 11 receives MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition with September Security Patch Globally


Xiaomi released the Mi 11 smartphone at the beginning of this year. At its release, it was one of the finest Android smartphones you could buy on the market for less than $799. Since then lots of things have passed, Xiaomi has recently proceeded with the rollout of the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition to the Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone globally. This update is available to the Global and EU versions of the Xiaomi Mi 11.


MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition Improvements

The new update does not come with any major design changes as Xiaomi decided to focus on other things that will improve the software experience. Xiaomi said that the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition will bring improved performance to the Mi 11 via focused algorithms, liquid storage, atomized memory, and smart balance. These features focus on optimizing RAM usage, thereby improving the speed of operation.


It also brings better battery life when compared to the standard MIUI 12.5 as a result of a reduction in power consumption thanks to more optimized RAM usage.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Receives Android 10 Update

This new MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition arrives on the global version of Mi 11 as V12.5.9.0.RKBMIXM and V12.5.7.0.RKBEUXM for the European version.

They also come with the September 2021 security patch, this is not that great as Google has already sent the October 2021 security patch to its supported devices.

The MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update for the Mi 11 smartphone should arrive as an over-the-air (OTA) download for the global version of the Mi 11 and also the EU versions.
Presently, only a few users will receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition for preview, with the final public release coming soon depending on the outcome of this update. So if you have not gotten the update, exercise patience and check the updater app frequently to know when it is available.
