Samsung Galaxy A50 was one of the smartphones which were unveiled by Samsung at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), that was held in Spain, Barcelona. The Samsung Galaxy A50 is a mid-range device from Samsung. In this post, I’ll be writing about Samsung Galaxy A50 price in Nigeria, it’s specs and features. Display and Build

The Samsung Galaxy A50 has a FHD+ 6·4 inches Super AMOLED infinity-U display(16M colours) with 1080×2340 pixels resolution, 403 ppi density, 19·5:9 aspect ratio and 85% screen to body ratio. It has a notch cut out at the top which houses the selfie cam.
The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, it has a plastic back and frame.

Processor and Memory

Samsung Galaxy A50 is powered by the octa-core Exynos 9610 SoC which is clocked at 2·3 GHz along with Mali G72 MP3 GPU for gaming and graphics. This is coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. It has a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage up to 512GB if you need more space.

Samsung Galaxy A50 has a triple rear camera, the first rear camera offers 25 megapixels sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and PDAF; the second rear cam is an ultrawide camera, of 8MP that offers an f/2.2 aperture, and the third is a 5MP depth camera which equally features an f/2.2 opening. It has a LED flash and more features such as the Panorama and HDR.  It can also take 1080p video recording at 30fps.
On the front, we has a 25MP selfie camera with f/2·0 aperture and it features HDR and also takes 1080p video recording at 30 fps.


Network and Connectivity

Samsung Galaxy A50 has 4G/3G/2G networks in it. It supports the following LTE bands 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 38(2600), 40(2300), 41(2500). It comes with Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, WiFi Direct, GPS, NFC and a USB 2.0 type C port which supports OTG and reverse charging.

Battery and Charging

Samsung Galaxy A50 has a massive 4000mAh battery which is not removable. It has support for 15W fast charge with the adapter out of box. It charges via the USB type C port.


The Samsung Galaxy A50 runs on One UI based on Android 9 Pie out of box which can be upgraded to One UI 2.0 based on Android 10.


Samsung Galaxy A50 price in Nigeria starts at ₦90,000 ($241) for the model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and ₦97,500 ($270) for the model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The prices will fluctuate due to changes in exchange rate value.


The Galaxy A30 has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Samsung Galaxy A50 has an in display fingerprint sensor for securing information on the device.
