Design and Body

Nokia 9 PureView has a classy 6000-series aluminium frame and is covered by the state of art Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back and front. The phone has a depth of 8 mm and weighs 172 grams, so holding the phone in your hands is not an issue. The phone is IP67 certified so it is water and dust resistant and can survive in 1 metres deep water for up to 30 minutes.
HMD Global decided to avoid the notch despite most flagships having it but gives it a minimal bezels less design.
At the back, you’d find the penta camera which is adorable but some research says it triggers trypophobia (fear of holes).



Nokia 9 PureView sports a 5.99 inches P-OLED display with a QHD+ resolution of 1440×2880 and an amazing 538 pixels per inch density. It has a 18:9 aspect ratio which allows more screen space in a relatively small body. The phone supports HDR10 and has the always on display feature which shows Time and Date and other useful notifications. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which is scratch resistant and immune to easy damage.

Nokia 9 PureView is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset which clocks at 2.8 GHz coupled with Adreno 630 GPU which helps with graphics related activities and gaming. The processor is built on a 10nm fabrication process which is power efficient and reduces heating.
The Nokia 9 PureView comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage with no card slot for expanding the storage.


The camera is one of the top feature which makes the phone have high ratings and stand out.  The Nokia 9 PureView has a penta 12MP rear camera setup (12MP+12MP+12MP+12MP+12MP). There are 2 RGB cameras and 3 Black and White cameras. These 5 cameras captures image simultaneously and not separately. The rear camera records 4K videos at 30 fps.
On the front, we have a 20MP front camera housed in the top bezel that takes crisp and clear selfies. The front camera can also record 4K videos at 30 fps.

Nokia 9 PureView comes with a 3,320 mAh non removable Li-Po battery. The battery provides sufficient energy to last for a whole day.
As for charging, it has support for Quick Charge 3.0, Fast Qi wireless charging (10W) and PMA wireless charging (5W). When charging you will spend less time.


Nokia 9 PureView runs on Android 9 Pie under the Android One initiative which gives you a bloat-ware free experience. It is upgradeable to Android 10 and will also get Android 11 update.


Nokia 9 PureView price in Nigeria starts at around 200,000 Naira depending on your location and if you’re buying it brand new. However, if you’re getting a used one you will see it at a lesser price.

Other Features

Nokia 9 PureView has an in display fingerprint sensor (optical). This sensor can be accessed once you place your hands on the lower third of the phone’s display. And also the phone does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack so you’d have to use a type C earphone or a wireless earphone.
