After lots of teasings, Realme has finally launched the Realme 12 and it completes the quadruple Realme 12 series. This is the less premium sibling of the Realme 12+ which was launched very recently.
Realme 12 Features
The Realme 12 sports a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display that has a FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It can reach up to 950 nits when it is at its peak brightness.
Being an LCD panel, we have to say goodbye to the in-display fingerprint sensor on its siblings and appreciate the fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The power button is now tagged as a Dynamic Button as it can also toggle between 7 functions.
Under the hood, the Realme 12 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipsets. It brings 5G support and performs decently when gaming and performing other tasks.
The chipset here is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. As for storage, it is only available in 128GB but there’s a micro SD card slot.
On the rear, there is a dual rear camera setup despite how big the camera island is. It has a main camera that uses the 108MP ISOCELL HM6 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 3X in-sensor zoom. The main is paired with a 2MP depth camera. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for all your selfies and video call needs.
The Realme 12 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and has support for 45W charging via its USB-C port. Realme claims it will take the phone from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes of charging.
For what it’s worth, the phone comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, there is IP54 certification so the phone will stand its own against dust and splashes.
The phone will be available in two colors: Twilight Purple and Woodland Green.
Realme 12 Price and Availability
The Realme 12 price starts at $205 for the 6GB/128GB model while the 8GB/128GB model will go for $220.
The phone is already available for sale in India, and it is expected to make its way to other countries in the coming weeks.
