Huawei, the Chinese technology giant has recently launched the Huawei Elate 4G which is a new entry-level smartphone. Talking about the design, the Huawei Elate 4G has a good design, it comes in a metal body that is durable and has a premium feel. It has a thickness of 8.4 mm and weighs 165 grams (including the battery). Also, it is available in only one color which is Gray.

Coming to the display, the Huawei Elate 4G sports a 5.5 inches IPS LCD display with an HD resolution of 720×1280 pixels and 267 pixels per inch density. It has an aspect ratio of 16:9. The screen uses a 2.5D curved glass which is resistant to scratches.
Processor and Memory
The Huawei Elate 4G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor which features 4 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and another 4 cores clocked at 1.1 GHz. The chipset has the Qualcomm Adreno 505 GPU in charge of gaming and graphics-related activities.
The phone comes with 2GB of RAM which is okay for multitasking and 16GB of built-in storage. It has a shared micro SD card slot for expanding the storage if the need arises.
Camera
Coming to the camera department, the Huawei Elate 4G has a single rear camera setup that features a 12 megapixels camera with f/2.2 aperture and AutoFocus.
At the front, there is an 8 megapixels camera with an f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies and video calls.
As for video recording, both the rear and selfie camera can record FHD 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

The Huawei Elate 4G comes with a 4,000 mAh removable Li-Po battery. It promises up to 22 hours of talk time, 35 hours of music playtime, and 360 hours of standby time. Unfortunately, it does not support fast charging or wireless charging.

This smartphone has support for 4G LTE which gives you access to fast internet speeds of up to 150 Mbps when downloading and browsing. It comes with Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, and FM radio. It has a micro USB port for charging and data transfer.
Software
Huawei Elate 4G runs on Android v7.0 Nougat with Huawei EMUI 5.1 skin out of the box. It may get an upgrade to the next Android version in the future. It comes with all Google services and pre-installed applications.
