Design and Body

The iPhone 6 Plus offers the usual high quality build that Apple has been offering. The iPhone 6 Plus is very slim at 7.1 mm thickness which is slimmer than the predecessor which has 7.6 mm thickness. The phone comes with the usual round-edged design with the home button housing the TouchID fingerprint sensor for securing the phone. The phone comes in a premium aluminium body and has Corning Gorilla Glass on the front. The iPhone 6 Plus weighs 172 grams so holding it in the hands for a long time is no issue.

Display

iPhone 6 Plus sports a 5.5 inches IPS LCD display with a resolution to 1080×1920 pixels and an amazing 401 pixels per inch density. The iPhone 6 Plus is the first iPhone to have a 5.5-inch display size. The screen uses an ion strengthened glass with an oleophobic coating which prevents fingerprint smug to an extent. It is a bright display with up to 500 nits, which is great for watching movies and browsing the web.

Processor and Memory

The iPhone 6 Plus is powered by the new SoC made by Apple, the Apple A8 chipset, the chipset offers 25% faster CPU and 50% faster graphics and it also comes with PowerVR GX6450 GPU for graphics-related activities. The iPhone 6+ comes with 1GB RAM and either 16GB or 64GB or 128GB built-in storage. The 1GB RAM may not be large in numbers but Apple OS optimizes it and make apps run fast.

Camera

The iPhone 6 Plus comes with an 8MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture which has Phase Detection Auto Focus and Optical Image Stabilization when shooting videos. It has a dual-LED flash. The rear camera and record 1080p videos at 60 fps.
On the front, we have a 1.2MP camera for taking selfies and FaceTime. The front camera can record 720p videos at 30 fps.

Network and Connectivity

The iPhone 6 Plus comes with 2G/3G/4G LTE network in it for all network-related activities.
