Tecno Spark 5 and Spark 5 Air smartphones have made their debut. The phones by Tecno Mobiles succeed the Spark 4 series that was launched in 2019. Here are the full specifications, price in Nigeria and features of the Tecno Spark 5 Air.

Display
The Tecno Spark 5 Air has already surpassed the line with tablets with it’s 7 inch display.
The Tecno Spark 5 Air has a 7·0-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 88% screen to body ratio, 720×1640 pixels resolution, 256 ppi density and 480 nits max brightness. The display has a dot drop notch which houses the selfie camera.
Processor and Memory
The Tecno Spark 5 Air is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek processor which has a maximum frequency of 2·0 GHz. This is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal. It has dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage.
Camera
The Tecno Spark 5 has 13MP AI dual camera setup with 13MP main camera and a QVGA sensor which can record Full HD at 30 fps. In the photo, it looks like it has a triple rear camera but the third thing is an embellishment.
It has a 8MP selfie camera fitted in the teardrop notch and the dual LED flash embedded in the top bezel puts some distance between the two LEDs, which should provide more even lighting.
Network and Connectivity
The Tecno Spark 5 Air has 4G/3G/2G network in it for browsing, downloading and other daily needs. The LTE bands it will have are not yet known. But it will support VoLTE services.
It comes with Bluetooth, WiFi, FM Radio, GPS, OTG and Hotspot.
Battery and Charging
The Tecno Spark 5 Air has a non removable 5000mAh battery backing it. It doesn’t come with fast charge of any kind. It charges via the micro USB port at the bottom of the phone. It has support for 10W normal charge.
Software
The Tecno Spark 5 Air runs on Android 10 Go Edition with HiOS 6·0.
Others
The Tecno Spark 5 Air has a 3·5 mm headphone jack for those who prefer wired headphones. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Tecno Spark 5 Air supports face unlock.
Price
The price of Tecno Spark 5 Air in Nigeria is about N44,000 or maybe less than that depending on your region. It is not officially available for sale yet. But will be available very soon.
