Oppo is a large Chinese smartphone company, and they are known for their value-for-money products across different segments. The Chinese company just launched the Oppo A2 which is the latest addition to the budget-friendly A-series.

Oppo A2 Features

Upfront, the Oppo A2 features a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display, with an FHD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 680 nits. The display has a 90Hz refresh rate which makes scrolling feel much smoother. The screen is protected by Panda glass, and it has a tiny punch-hole cutout at the top centre to house the selfie camera.

Talking about the selfie camera, it has been improved as there is now an 8MP camera. On the rear, there is a dual camera setup that features a 50MP main camera alongside an auxiliary 2MP depth camera.

Under the hood, the Oppo A2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset which is common in the price range. The processor comes with a CPU with a max clock speed of 2.2 GHz, and it is paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU running at 950 Mhz.
The phone comes with 12GB of fast LPDDR4X RAM and it can get an additional 12GB of RAM using the expandable memory feature. For storage, there are two options either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Despite this, there is still a micro SD card slot giving you the option to expand the storage even further.

All of these are backed by a robust 5,000 mAh non-removable Li-Polymer battery which should last a whole day even with heavy usage. When the battery finally runs low, there is support for 33W fast charging which is advertised to take the phone from 0% to 51% in just 30 minutes of charging.

The Oppo A2 also comes with IP54 certification which means that it is resistant to dust and water splashes. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which does a great job, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack is still present. As for connectivity, there is support for 5G networks and it comes with Bluetooth 5.3.
The color options available are Silent Sea Black, Clear Wave Jade (Which is green), and Ice Crystal Purple.

Oppo A2 Price and Availability

After going through the features that the phone packs, we now have to let you know the price and when it will be available.
The Oppo A2 price starts at $232 (CNY 1,699) and $246 (CNY 1,799) for the 256GB model and 512GB model respectively. The phone will go on sale in China from November 6th, and there needs to be more information about when it will be available globally.
